We were two couples (close friends) on a 16 day excursion of mainland Portugal. Our goal was to explore the magic of Portugal by interacting with the people, visiting its sights and learning about its culture. Our Tour company, Portugal Magik helped us arrange a great 16-day tour starting at Lisbon and traveling by private van to Portimao, Evora, Nazare, Fatima, Coimbra and finally to Porto. We discovered the quintessential Portugal by visiting all the main sights on the mainland and by interacting with the people in the restaurants, shops and landmarks. Vasco, our Tour Guide/Driver/Tour Manager was simply outstanding. He was knowledgeable of the history and significance of each major attraction and he knew which times to go so as to beat the crowds.
